UPS announced Peak Season Surcharges that will go in effect for the 2019 UPS Holiday Shipping Season.
For the 2019 holiday shipping season, UPS announces no published Residential Peak Surcharge similar to FedEx.
UPS® Peak Surcharges – U.S. Domestic , U.S. Import and U.S. ExportOne or more Peak Surcharges will apply to packages shipped during a Peak Period, based on package characteristics. Peak Surcharges apply in addition to all other applicable Charges.Peak Surcharges described below apply to all U.S. Domestic, U.S. Import, and U.S. Export Service Levels for all Domestic and International destinations in the amounts set forth in the chart below during the specified Peak Periods.
Peak Surcharges - Other Charges
A Peak Surcharge will apply to Large Packages, packages that are Over Maximum Limits, and packages that require Additional Handling, as described in the applicable UPS Rate and Service Guide and the UPS Tariff/Terms and Conditions of Service – United States. Consult the UPS Rate and Service Guide – Daily Rates for the definition of “Large Package”, “Over Maximum Limits”, and for details regarding which packages require Additional Handling.
