Normal Operating Hours

Check the operating hours for your area at Find Locations. To confirm whether a service area is affected due to weather or other conditions, go to the FedEx Newsroom or call 1.800.463.3339. For international holiday schedules, go to our International Holiday site.

If you need to ship on Christmas Day or any other day of the year, we have you covered with FedEx SameDay® service. It's available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for your urgent shipments. Go to or call 1.800.399.5999 to schedule a pickup.

Money-Back Guarantee Policy Changes

The money-back guarantee for select FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground® and FedEx Freight® services will be temporarily suspended during certain holidays. For specific details, view the holiday money-back guarantee policy.

4On April 10, FedEx Freight will be open with normal pickup and delivery operations and a modified linehaul schedule. Shipments picked up that are not moved will resume transit on the next normal operating day. For example, a one-day shipment picked up on April 10 will resume on April 13 and be delivered on April 14.

5FedEx Office locations will have modified hours the day before the holiday, with some locations closing early. Please contact your local FedEx Office location for details.

9Customs clearance at U.S.-Canada land-border crossings is available 24 hours a day, every day, via FedEx Trade Networks, subject to the availability of Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Check with your FedEx Trade Networks representative regarding the availability of customs clearance at U.S.-Mexico land-border crossings.

10On July 3 and Dec. 31, FedEx Freight will be open with only prearranged pickup and delivery shipments being made. Freight shipments picked up on July 3 will resume on July 6, and shipments picked up on Dec. 31 will resume on Jan. 4. For example, a one-day shipment picked up on Dec. 31 will resume on Jan. 4 and be delivered on Jan. 5.

Note: FedEx Freight charges a redelivery fee when a FedEx Freight delivery attempt is made but is unsuccessful due to a customer closure, of which FedEx Freight was not previously notified, subject to the terms and conditions of the FXF 100 Series Rules Tariff.

Note: When scheduling a FedEx Freight shipment on or around a holiday, including holidays not listed above (e.g., Mardi Gras, etc.), contact your local freight service center at 1.866.393.4585 for the most up-to-date information.

Note: FedEx SmartPost® will not be delivering on U.S. federal holidays when the USPS is not making deliveries.

    FedEx Freight charges a redelivery fee if a FedEx Freight delivery attempt fails because the customer closed their business without telling FedEx Freight first, as stated in the FXF 100 Series Rules Tariff.
