Beginning April 11, 2022, the Peak Surcharge amount for some FedEx Express parcel and freight shipments will increase.
There used to be a time when there weren't ANY Peak Surcharges, and then Peak Surcharges that were only in place during the Holiday Season, and now they appear to be permanent, at least for the foreseeable future.
FedEx announced a surcharge on all FedEx Express® and TNT international parcel and freight shipments due to the various COVID-19 containment restrictions issued in countries around the world beginning April 6, 2020.
FedEx claims that due to continued disruptions in the global supply chain, air cargo capacity remains limited. The good news, at least for the United States, is that the increase in peak surcharge starting April 11th, does not apply to domestic shipments.
Beginning April 11, 2022, the Peak Surcharge amount for FedEx Express parcel and freight shipments will increase for some shipments moving between APAC and various countries, MEISA and various countries, and between Europe and China.
TNT SHIPMENTS
Beginning April 11, 2022, the Peak Surcharge amount for TNT shipments will increase for some shipments moving between APAC and various countries as well as between MEISA and various countries.
