Possible Delays on Ocean and Air Freight in the U.S.

Source: UPS / / September 15th, 2022

A tentative agreement has been reached between the railroad companies and the workers unions, avoiding a strike this week. As some railroads, in anticipation of the strikes announcements, began to reduce services earlier in the week of September 12, Ocean and Air Freight customers should expect delays, including:

  • Disruption in railroads lanes
  • Ocean freight delays, resulting in potential additional or increased costs and surcharges, including demurrage and/or anticipated pre-pull costs. Containers that are already grounded at the ramps/rail yards may also be impacted
  • Air freight and line haul rates could also be affected, as a truck shortage may lead to delays and increase costs and/or surcharges

We kindly remind you that this is not a UPS specific issue. However, our team receives regular updates from carriers and continues to make every effort to look for alternatives that enable us to deliver customers' freight shipments in a timely manner.

For information on specific shipments, please refer to the UPS® Forwarding Hub or UPS Flex® Global View, or contact your UPS Account Representative with questions or concerns.

Apart from all the problems with deliveries and strikes and the global crisis, I noticed that there are more people who want to deceive anyone. Recently, my friend's package was simply stolen from her and the courier did it (the company hired an employee and did not notice his fake documents), and my friend wanted to order an essay and was simply ignored after he made full payment for the work. Given this, I would like to advise everyone who needs to do homework or write articles, a proven service, here you can pay for any kind of essay and are not afraid of deception, because the work of these writers is confirmed by many positive reviews and many years of work experience. Trust only proven services.
