LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- You can soon test your strength to help athletes with intellectual disabilities.

It only requires you to pull a 147,000 pound cargo jet.

“You're gonna need some muscle to do this?  Well, you need a little bit of muscle, a little bit of chutzpah, and just a good attitude and lots of energy,” said Jennifer McMahon, Special Events Director of Special Olympics Kentucky.

The UPS Plane Pull will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3.

Nearly 40 teams are expected to participate in the challenge.

Teams in three divisions will compete to see who can pull the 757 cargo jet 12 feet across the tarmac in the fastest time.

You can have up to 20 people on your team, and must raise at least $1,000 as a group.

A captains’ kickoff event was held on Wednesday.

Proceeds benefit Special Olympics athletes across Kentucky.
