Building on success at the Rugby World Cup 2011, DHL has once again signed up as the 'Official Logistics Partner' for the sport’s pinnacle event, Rugby World Cup 2015.

The sport of Rugby is in DHL’s DNA, with wide-ranging Rugby partnerships from grassroots level to the professional game in some of the world’s most Rugby-crazed nations like South Africa and England.

After the huge success of RWC 2011 in New Zealand, it was only natural that DHL would line up again to help deliver the sport’s global showpiece, as Official Logistics Partner of Rugby World Cup 2015.

It’s a massive behind-the-scenes effort to deliver this year’s biggest international sporting event.

Hosted by England in September and October 2015, the Tournament is set to be the biggest and best Rugby World Cup ever.

Administered by World Rugby, the sport’s international governing body, the top 20 qualifying teams from around the world compete for the coveted Webb Ellis Cup, with only four winners since the inaugural event in 1987 - New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and England.

DHL is providing a comprehensive range of logistics services to England Rugby 2015 (the Tournament host and organizing body) before, during and after the six-week tournament, including handling the teams’ equipment, stadium infrastructure, volunteer uniforms and international ticket distribution, to name but a few.

DHL’s goal is to match the world-class performance, teamwork, passion and will to win which fans will surely be treated to on the pitch.

This time around DHL also partnered with England Rugby’s International Trophy Tour - a year long journey that saw the Webb Ellis Cup travel through traditional rugby hotspots such as Australia and South Africa, but also to countries where Rugby is an emerging sport, such as Japan and China.

DHL transported the Trophy safely to each country and helped to build the excitement for RWC 2015 every step on the way.

Delivering the Trophy around the globe to veteran rugby audiences and introducing this great sport to new faces throughout the world was a privilege DHL is proud to be a part of.
